										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Alberto Di Troia is a screenwriter and playwright who has worked extensively across both screen and theatre. Most recently, Alberto served as the co-writer of Episode 2 and script producer on the Netflix crime drama THE SURVIVORS<em>, </em>based on the bestselling novel by Jane Harper. In 2022, he was the inaugural Victorian recipient of the SBS Emerging Writers Incubator, which saw him join Tony Ayres Productions (TAP) as a development assistant. In this role, he contributed to several TAP/ABC projects; writing on the children’s TV series THE SPOOKY FILES and script coordinating on the critically-acclaimed FIRES<em>.</em></p>
<p>In theatre, Alberto is the co-director of award-winning performance company Stage Mom<em>, </em>which produced his plays TRULY MADLY BRITNEY and LOVE YOU BITCH. TRULY MADLY BRITNEY was presented in Melbourne Theatre Company’s Cyber Electric season and is currently taught on the syllabus of La Trobe University’s performance writing course. Further, Alberto co-created the live art works I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND WHAT I’M COOKING FOR<em>, </em>which toured nationally, and LOVE ME (BAR)TENDER<em>, </em>commissioned by Darwin Festival and remounted at Arts House, Melbourne.</p>
<p>Finally, Alberto has been the recipient of project funding from Creative Victoria, The City of Melbourne and Midsumma Festival, and previously undertook a Besen Family Writers Placement at Malthouse Theatre.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Alma De Groen was the first playwright to win the Patrick White Literary Award for her contribution to Australian theatre. Alma currently lives in New Zealand, with her plays still being performed both in Australia and around the world –<em>Wicked Sisters </em>recently played in Poland, and <em>The Rivers of China </em>is being translated for performance in France.</p>
<p>Alma’s first play, <em>The Sweatproof Boy</em> was presented at the Nimrod Street Theatre in 1972, and <em>The After-Life of Arthur Cravan</em> had a season the same year at Jane Street Theatre, Sydney. This was followed by <em>Going Home</em> and <em>Chidley</em> both of which had their premiere seasons in Melbourne. Alma De Groen was awarded the 1985 AWGIE award for her television adaptation of <em>Man of Letters, </em>and she also wrote a telemovie, <em>After Marcuse</em>, and television series <em>Singles</em> and <em>Rafferty’s Rules. The Rivers of China</em> premiered at the Sydney Theatre Company, winning the Premier’s Literary Award for Drama in both New South Wales and Victoria. <em>The Girl Who Saw Everything</em> premiered at the Russell Street Theatre in Melbourne in 1991 and won the 1993 AWGIE for best stage play.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Andrew Upton was the Co-Artistic Director and Co-CEO of the Sydney Theatre Company (STC) from 2008 to 2012, acting as the sole Artistic Director from 2013 to 2015. His play THE PRESENT, an adaptation of Chekhov’s PLATONOV, played on Broadway after its successful world premiere at the STC.</p>
<p>As a theatre director, Andrew made his debut in 2006 with his translation of DISSIDENT<em>, </em>GOES WITHOUT SAYING for Wharf2Loud, and later that same year went on to direct David Mamet’s REUNION. His co-written production THE MAIDS premiered at the STC in 2013 and was performed as part of the Lincoln Centre Festival at the New York City Centre in 2014. Andrew directed A LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT starring William Hurt in a co-production between the STC and Artists Repertory Theatre. His other work for the STC includes his adaptations of DON JUAN, THE CHERRY ORCHARD, UNCLE VANYA, WAITING FOR GODOT, A FLEA IN HER EAR, CHILDREN OF THE SUN, THE WHITE GUARD, CYRANO DE BERGERAC, WAITING FOR GODOT, ENDGAME, HEDDA GABLER, his co-adaptation FACE TO FACE, and his original plays HANGING MAN and RIFLEMIND, many of which he also directed.</p>
<p>Andrew has also written for the screen, including the short film REUNION as part of the compendium feature adaptation of Tim Winton’s THE TURNING. For Working Title Films, he co-wrote the feature GONE. He also adapted FOUCAULT’S PENDULUM, AMONGST THIEVES and DUPLICATE KEYS. Under his production company banner, Dirty Films, Andrew wrote, directed and produced the short film BANGERS, the feature STORIES OF LOST SOULS, and additionally served as associate producer for the award-winning LITTLE FISH. In 2015, he Executive Produced the critically acclaimed film CAROL, and in 2023, produced the feature FINGERNAILS, starring Carey Mulligan.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Anna Barnes is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter and author who most recently wrote on the second series of the critically acclaimed Binge drama THE TWELVE. As the creator of SBS’ SAFE HOME, Anna wrote the pilot episode, for which she won the Betty Roland Prize for Scriptwriting at the 2024 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. The project was additionally nominated in the Best Miniseries category at both the 2024 AACTA Awards and TV Week Logie Awards.</p>
<p>Previously, Anna wrote CONTENT, Australia’s first vertical video series for Ludo Studios and ABC TV, garnering an Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) Award win for Best Web Series and nominations for several other awards, including an International Emmy for Best Short-Form, a Rose D’Or for Best Social Media and Video Series, and an AACTA for Best Online Drama or Comedy. In 2017, she won an AWGIE for the geolocative story app GHOSTS OF BILEOLA.</p>
<p>For television, Anna is further credited with serving as a contributing writer on the second season of the children’s show THE STRANGE CHORES for ABC, and as head writer and co-producer of the ABC comedy series RETROGRADE, which was filmed in isolation and follows a group of thirty-something friends during the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>As a playwright, Anna’s work has been performed around Australia. Her play LETHAL INDIFFERENCE opened at the Sydney Theatre Company in February 2018 and was subsequently highly commended by Victoria Premier’s Literary Awards. Likewise, her writing has been published in Kill Your Darlings, Killings, The Lifted Brow and The Age. Anna’s novel GIRL! THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO BEING YOU (Penguin 2012) was named as one of the 2013 Eva Pownall Notable Books by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.</p>
<p>In 2007, she was the winner of the British Council’s Realise Your Dream award, facilitating her to study playwriting at Royal Court Theatre, London, UK. In 2012, she collaborated with comic artist Sara Drake (USA) to tell the story of losing her sense of smell for Radio, with Pictures at the Sydney Opera House. She won Sydney Theatre Company’s Patrick White Playwright’s Award in 2013 for her play, MINUSONESISTER, ultimately published by Currency Press in 2017.</p>
<p>Currently, Anna has a number of television series in development, including projects with See Saw Films, BBC Studios ANZ and Wooden Horse.</p>

Her accolades include the Griffin Playwriting Award, Victorian Premier’s Literary Award, New Dramatists Exchange and AACTA Awards for Best Short Film and Best Screenplay. She studied screenwriting at the Australian, Film, Television and Radio School and was the recipient of the Qantas Travel Award graduate prize. She is a member of 7-ON PLAYWRIGHTS &#8211; in 2012 <em>No Nudity, Weapons or Naked Flames</em>, a book of monologues, was published by Federation Press, and included three monologues by each of the seven members.</p>
<p>Of late she has dovetailed her writing and art into the creation of a graphic novella, <em>My Charitable Works</em>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Claire Christian is a storyteller. A writer, theatre maker and facilitator from Queensland, Australia. Claire’s most recent novel, IT’S BEEN A PLEASURE, NONI BLAKE<em>, </em>an adult contemporary romance, was published by Text Publishing and was released in Australia, America and the UK. In 2016, Claire won the Text Publishing Prize for her debut novel, <em>BEAUTIFUL MESS,</em> a young adult fiction exploring grief, loss and first love.</p>
<p>As a playwright, Claire has been recognised both nationally and internationally. Her commissioned work LYSA AND THE FREEBORN DAMES, inspired by Aristophanes’ <em>Lysistrata</em>, debuted at LaBoite Theatre in 2018. Claire likes to think of Lysa as ‘…an affirmation to women, and anyone who identifies as other, and a love letter to young men.’ The play received rave reviews for its thoughtful, powerful and honest portrayal of characters speaking to the current climate of ‘Times Up’.</p>
<p>Her plays TALKING TO BRICK WALLS, THE LANDMINE IS ME, LYSA AND THE FREEBORN DAMES and HEDONISMS SECOND ALBUM, which she co-wrote and co-produced with David Burton and premiered at La Boite Indie in 2014, are all published by Playlab.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The multi-talented Duncan Sarkies is a screenwriter, playwright, and novelist. In New Zealand he is best known for writing the hit black comedy <em>Scarfies</em>. He also wrote two episodes for the HBO TV series <em>Flight of the Conchords</em>: ‘New Fans’ and ‘The Cup’. He has written an episode of the series adaptation of <em>What We Do In The Shadows</em> for FX. In Australia, Duncan has storylined and written for the ABC2 comedy series <em>Maximum Choppage</em>, and script edited for the ABC2 comedy series <em>Soul Mates</em>.</p>
<p>Duncan has written two novels. His debut novel <em>Two Little Boys</em> was published in 2008 to rave reviews, and was brought to life as a major motion picture directed by Robert Sarkies in 2012, starring Hamish Blake and Bret McKenzie. His second novel, <em>The Demolition of The Century</em>, was released in 2013 through John Murray Publishers.</p>
<p>Duncan has written and directed <em>The Mysterious Secrets of Uncle Bertie’s Botanarium</em>, an epic radio series for Howl, in collaboration with comedian Jemaine Clement and musician Lawrence Arabia. It received rave reviews from <em>The Guardian</em>, <em>The</em> <em>LA Times</em>, <em>The</em> <em>New Zealand Herald</em> and <em>The</em> <em>AV Club</em>. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Hannah Belanszky is a writer, actor and Yuwaalaraay woman based in Sydney. She is the recipient of the 2025 Belnaves Fellowship with the Belvoir St Theatre, which has long been recognised as one of the most prestigious playwriting awards in Australia. Her debut mainstage play DON’T ASK WHAT THE BIRD LOOK LIKE premiered at Queensland Theatre in 2023, was shortlisted for the 2024 NSW Premier&#8217;s Literary Awards, a finalist for the 2019 Queensland Premier’s Drama Award, and the 2019 Lord Mayor’s Award for Best New Australian Work. Her play SAPLINGS premiered in Sydney Festival 2024 at Australian Theatre for Young People. She wrote, directed and performed in THE WIVES OF WOLFGANG which won Best Cabaret at the Adelaide Fringe weekly awards and has also been performed at Fringe World Perth and Brisbane Powerhouse. Hannah has also been in writers’ rooms for Jungle Entertainment, Matchbox Pictures, See-Saw Films, Bunya Productions and New Canvas, and was selected for the 2022 Netflix ANZ Writer’s Journey lab in partnership with Australians in Film. Hannah is currently working on a number of projects, including a 2025 commission for the Griffin Theatre Company, and the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP).</span></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hilary Bell writes for stage, radio, screen and music theatre.</p>
<p>Hilary’s plays have been produced nationally around Australia, by The Sydney Theatre Company, Ensemble, Belvoir, Griffin, State Theatre Company of South Australia, Black Swan, Deckchair, La Boite, NORPA, The National Theatre of Parramatta, Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne, Vitalstatistix, NIDA and The Darlinghurst Theatre Company. Internationally she’s been produced in Europe, in the USA by companies including Atlantic and Steppenwolf, in London by The National’s Connections programme, and at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe/House of Oz.</p>
<p>WOLF LULLABY, written in 1995 won her the inaugural Philip Parsons Young Playwrights Award, and remains on the school syllabus. Other plays include FORTUNE, THE ANATOMY LESSON OF DOCTOR RUYSCH, THE FALLS, SPLINTER, THE BLOODY BRIDE, MEMMIE LE BLANC, THE RED BALLOON, THE WHITE DIVERS OF BROOME, VICTIM SIDEKICK BOYFRIEND ME, PERFECT STRANGER, SUMMER OF HAROLD (for which Hilary won a 2025 Australian Writer&#8217;s Guild Award for Best Original Stage Work), and adaptations of Chekhov’s THE SEAGULL, Moliere’s THE HYPOCHONDRIAC<em>, </em>Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL and Shakespeare’s A COMEDY OF ERRORS<em>.</em> Collaborations include THE MYSTERIES: GENESIS (with Lally Katz), and she was associate writer on Paul Capsis’ play ANGELA&#8217;S KITCHEN,<em> </em>which won Best New Australian Work at the Helpmann Awards 2010. Other awards include the Jill Blewitt, Bug’n’Bub (USA), Aurealis Fiction, the Eric Kocher (USA), Inscription and two Australian Writers Guild Awards.</p>
<p>Hilary also writes lyrics and libretti for opera, musicals and song cycles. She has collaborated with composers including Phillip Johnston, Greta Gertler Gold, Andrée Greenwell, Victoria Bond, Douglas Stephen Rae, Elena Katz-Chernin, Maria Alfonsine, Luke Styles and Ensemble Offspring. Her music theatre works include THE WEDDING SONG, THE RED TREE, MRS PRESIDENT, STARSTRUCK THE STAGE MUSICAL (with Mitchell Butel), ALPHABETICAL SYDNEY: ALL ABOARD! and SEVEN STORIES. She collaborated with composer Jacob Collier and director Michael Gracey on a musical for UK’s Scenario Two. Her musical adaptation of PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK, written with Greta Gertler Gold, opens Off-Broadway in December 2025.</p>
<p>Hilary is the creator of several picture books. With artist Matthew Martin, she made THE MARVELLOUS FUNAMBULIST OF MIDDLE HARBOUR (2016). Her collaborations with illustrator Antonia Pesenti include the best-selling ALPHABETICAL SYDNEY (NewSouth, 2013/2023)<em>.</em> As well as a musical, the book inspired the Museum of Sydney’s exhibition Alphabetical Sydney: Creative Lab. HELLO COCKY (Scribble, 2025) is their latest collaboration.</p>
<p>She has written audio scripts for the State Library of NSW exhibitions DEAD CENTRAL and QUICK MARCH!,<em> </em>and for the Museum of Contemporary Art’s exhibition, DAVID GOLDBLATT: PHOTOGRAPHS 1948-2018<em>.</em></p>
<p>She is a member of <a href="http://sevenon.blogspot.com/">7-ON Playwrights</a>, a collective of mid-career dramatists who collaborate on multi-voice projects. Their most recent collaboration is the anthology 7-ON A COLLECTION (Currency Press, 2025).</p>
<p>Hilary is a graduate of the Juilliard Playwrights’ Studio, NIDA, and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). She was the 2003-04 Tennessee Williams Fellow in Creative Writing at the University of the South, Tennessee, and in 2013 the Patrick White Playwriting Fellow at the Sydney Theatre Company.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>John Doyle is a highly accomplished writer for stage and screen. He is probably best known for his work as alter ego ‘Rampaging Roy Slaven’, one half of the dynamic duo Roy and HG. Together, they have won several awards for programs <em>This Voting Life</em>, <em>This Sporting Life</em>, <em>Club Buggery</em>, <em>The Dream</em>, <em>The Monday Dump</em>, <em>The Cream</em>, and <em>The Dream in Athens</em>.</p>
<p>John’s first foray into drama writing for the screen resulted in an AFI Award Nomination (Best Screenplay in a Television Drama) for <em>Changi</em>. This exceptional mini-series for the ABC also received an AWGIE and Logie Award for Most Outstanding Drama. His second series, <em>Marking Time</em>, won John his second AFI and AWGIE Awards as well as the NSW Premier’s Literary Award and a Logie nomination.</p>
<p>John’s first play, <em>The Pig Iron People</em> was commissioned by the Sydney Theatre Company and debuted during the 2008 season. The Pig Iron People is a timely satire infused with profound tolerance for the foibles of humanity. His second play, <em>Vere (Faith)</em>, about a physicist who is diagnosed with dementia and Parkinson’s, was commissioned by the Sydney Theatre Company and the State Theatre Company of South Australia for their 2013/2014 season. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Justin Monjo is an award-winning writer for screen and stage.</p>
<p>Justin wrote the screenplay for the feature films <em>Jungle</em> starring Daniel Radcliffe, and <em>Storm Boy</em> for Ambience Entertainment. <em>Jungle </em>premiered as the opening night film of the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2017. He also wrote feature <em>Spear,</em> and two of the chapters of the critically-acclaimed feature compendium adaptation of Tim Winton’s <em>The Turning</em>: <em>Aquifer</em> and <em>Sand</em>. He is currently working on several feature screenplays and television projects.</p>
<p>For television, Justin wrote the mini-series <em>Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door</em>, <em>The Code</em>, and the highly rated mini-series <em>Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS</em>. Other credits include <em>The</em> <em>Secret Daughter</em>; <em>Brock,</em> <em>Tomorrow When the War Began, Paper Giants:</em> <em>Magazine Wars, and Rush</em>. Justin co-created the high-rating telemovie <em>The Alice, and</em> was head writer and co-executive producer on the cult series <em>Farscape</em>.</p>
<p>Justin’s theatre credits include <em>Romeo is Bleeding</em>, Tim Winton’s <em>That Eye, The Sky</em> co-written with Richard Roxburgh (nominated for Best Play at the Sydney Theatre Critics Circle), and Tim Winton’s <em>Cloudstreet</em> co-written with Nick Enright. The adaptation of <em>Cloudstreet</em> toured internationally to sold-out theatres and critical acclaim in the US, Europe and Australia. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Keir Wilkins is a writer and script producer. He recently penned an episode of season two of the critically acclaimed drama HEARTBREAK HIGH (Netflix) &#8211; on which he additionally served as script producer &#8211; and returned to write another episode on the upcoming third season. Keir&#8217;s contributions on HEARTBREAK HIGH have assisted in earning the series several accolades over the past few years, such as a 2025 GLAAD Media Award nomination, the 2025 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Drama and, in the same category, a 2025 Logie Award nomination. Prior to this, Keir wrote on the series TOTALLY COMPLETELY FINE (Stan/Sundance/Fremantle), which earned him an Australian Writer&#8217;s Guild Award nomination for Best Television Drama Screenplay.</p>
<p>Keir is further credited as a writer on two seasons of the series, SURVIVING SUMMER (Netflix/ Werner Film Productions), and as a co-creator and writer on the series THE DISPOSABLES (ABC Me/ Photoplay Films), which was selected for SXSW Sydney. Notably, SURVIVING SUMMER was nominated for Most Outstanding Children’s program at the 2023 Logie Awards. Keir has also written and been a storyliner for the series NEIGHBOURS (Channel 5/Network Ten).</p>
<p>Keir has script edited television pilots for Easy Tiger and Mad Ones Films as well as been part of early development on series for See-Saw, Made Up Stories, Blossom Films, Matchbox Pictures, Guesswork Television, Paramount Television and Lingo Pictures.</p>
<p>He previously spent two years as part of Fremantle Australia’s development team where he worked across a diverse slate of dramas and was the Assistant Script Editor on the miniseries PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK (Foxtel/Amazon)<em>. </em>He also served as a Development Consultant for Jungle Entertainment and Curio Pictures.</p>
<p>Keir is currently in development on several television projects.</p>
