Tane Williams Accra most recently starred in the ABC drama THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR, and will next be seen in Network 10’s IMPOSTER. After graduating from Whitireia Performing Arts Centre, with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA), Tane became a series regular on the popular long running New Zealand series SHORTLAND STREET.
Tane’s screen credits include the documentary adaption of Mark Manson’s self-help novel THE SUBTLE ART OF NOT GIVING A F*CK, Amazon feature film DON’T MAKE ME GO, Jeff Wadlow’s feature film FANTASY ISLAND and the popular New Zealand series MY LIFE IS MURDER with Lucy Lawless.
Tane made his main stage debut in Auckland Theatre Company’s production of SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION and since performed on stage in the Australian Shakespeare Company productions of ROMEO AND JULIET, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM and CAPTAIN JACK & THE CARIBBEAN PIRATES. In his music career, he has released 3 EP’s and has performed at festivals such as Rhythm and Vines, Splore Festival and Soundsplash Festival.
Tane will be reprising his role on stage in the Malthouse Theatre production of WHO NO KNO GO KNO.
