Yolanda Ramke is an award-winning screenwriter and director.
Her first foray into television directing was on the US cult hit THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR (Amblin/Netflix), the follow-up to THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE.
Yolanda was the creator, executive producer, writer and director on the crime series TROPPO (ABC).
Further, she wrote for the revisionist western drama NEW GOLD MOUNTAIN (SBS), which won an Australian Writers’ Guild (AWGIE) Award for Best Miniseries.
Yolanda wrote and co-directed the short film CARGO (2013), which she wrote and directed, went viral on YouTube, garnering more than 20 million views. Causeway Films (TALK TO ME, WENT UP THE HILL) ultimately adapted the short into a feature starring Martin Freeman.
CARGO (2017), the feature, premiered at Tribeca to great acclaim, and was released globally as the first Australian Netflix Original film, earning Yolanda her first AWGIE Award, as well as a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards.
She is currently working on several film and television projects.
