Yolanda RamkeĀ is an award-winning screenwriter and director.
Her first foray into television directing was on the US cult hit THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, the follow-up to THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. Yolanda served as creator, executive producer, writer and director on the crime series TROPPO, inspired by Candice Fox’s CRIMSON LAKE. Further, she wrote for the SBS drama series NEW GOLD MOUNTAIN (2021), which won an Australian Writers Guild Award (AWGIE) for Best Miniseries.
Yolanda wrote and co-directed the short film CARGO, which went viral on YouTube, garnering more than 20 million views. Causeway Films (TALK TO ME, WENT UP THE HILL) ultimately adapted the short into a feature starring Martin Freeman. After the film premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival to great critical acclaim, it was released globally as the first Australian Netflix Original film and earned Yolanda her first AWGIE Award, as well as a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Awards (AACTAs.)
She is currently working on several film and television projects.
