Seth Larney wrote and directed the sci-fi thriller, 2067 (2020), starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ryan Kwanten, which sold out all territories worldwide and released in North America, UK, China, and Australia.
For this film, Seth was nominated for Best Director of a Feature Film at the Australian Directors Guild (ADG) Awards.
Seth’s debut feature, TOMBIRUO (2017), is based on the first book in a trilogy by best-selling Malaysian author Ramlee Awang Murshid.
TOMBIRUO is the 2nd highest-grossing Malaysian film and swept the Malaysia’s National film awards, receiving Best Director, Best Film, Best Original Score and Best Screenplay, amongst seven wins.
TOMBIRUO was also nominated for an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Asian Film.
Seth won an AACTA Award for Best Director for the 6-part series HIPSTERS (SBS).
THAT SUGAR FILM (2015), which he executive produced and VFX supervised, also took home an AACTA Award for Best Documentary, and was the highest-grossing theatrical documentary in Australia.
Prior to directing drama, Seth directed behind-the-scenes on X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE (2009) and THE LEGO MOVIE (2014), after transitioning from a long career as a VFX supervisor and artist.
