Sarah Spillane directed, wrote and executive produced the Netflix feature TRUE SPIRIT (2023), based on Jessica Watson, the youngest solo individual to sail around the world.

TRUE SPIRIT premiered at Number 5 worldwide upon its Netflix release.

Sarah’s debut feature AROUND THE BLOCK (2013), starring Christina Ricci, Jack Thompson, and Ruby Rose, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Sarah has written and directed award-winning shorts including THIS LIFE (2008), BLACKGROUND (2007), THE MANUAL (2006), AUSTRALIAN TAILS (2006), and THE MILLENNIUM MEN (1998).

Sarah was also third assistant director on Australian classic film RABBIT-PROOF FENCE (2002).

Sarah has several other features, a franchise, and several series in development.
