Roger Monk is a multi-award-winning film and television creator, screenwriter, script editor and script producer. His feature WALKING ON WATER won a number of awards including the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Screenplay, the Australian Critics Circle Best Script Awards, and the Teddy at Berlin Film Festival.

Most recently, Roger script edited ABC’s THE STRANGE CHORES and the Netflix supernatural drama MR. MIDNIGHT, on which he also wrote, and the AACTA nominated SBS series THE UNUSUAL SUSPECTS, which featured in competition at Series Mania in France.

As the head writer on the Emmy® Award winning series NOWHERE BOYS, Roger’s pilot was nominated for an AWG Award. He additionally wrote on SECRET LIFE OF US (Endemol/Network Ten), DANCE ACADEMY (Werner Productions/ABC), for which his episode garnered another AWG Award nomination, THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES (December Media/ABC), EAST OF EVERYTHING (ABC) and ITCH (Komixx Entertainment/ABC).

Roger is currently writing the feature film PARADISE, a gay love story set in an offshore detention centre, to be produced by Aquarius Films. He is also in development on a number of television projects including comedy drama series MORTAL COIL and a LGBTQ comedy murder mystery MURDER MOST QUEER.
