Megan Palinkas hails from Fremantle, Western Australia. Before becoming a screenwriter, she sampled a sushi train of professions from music teacher to outback bartender. Megan was a writer and script editor on Matchbox Pictures’ critically acclaimed series The Heights, of which she was nominated for an AWGIE award. In 2020 Megan was selected for the inaugural cohort of IMPACT Australia – a screenwriting accelerator program founded by Hollywood heavyweights Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Tyler Mitchell. The sci-fi drama series she developed with that program is now optioned by Hoodlum Entertainment. Megan has extensively written and script edited for Fremantle’s iconic serial drama Neighbours. She most recently developed, wrote for and Script Produced the Fremantle/Netflix reboot of Heartbreak High. Megan is currently writing episodes for Season 2 of Heartbreak High and the upcoming live action children’s series F.A.N.G for Princess Pictures/ABC.
