Magda WozniakScreenwriter

Magda is an award-winning screenwriter based in Melbourne, Australia.

Recently, Magda wrote the miniseries BAD BEHAVIOUR (Matchbox Pictures/Stan) and THE MESSENGER (Lingo Pictures/ABC TV) adapted from bestselling author Markus Zusak’s book of the same name. She has also written for CRAZY FUN PARK (Werner Film Productions/ABC TV) and SURVIVING SUMMER (Werner Film Productions/Netflix). Other television credits include: THE PM’S DAUGHTER (FremantleMedia/ABC TV); MUSTANGS F.C. – which earned her two Australian Writers Guild (AWGIE) Awards; THE HEIGHTS; HOME AND AWAY; and, NEIGHBOURS, for which she also worked as a storyliner and script editor.

In 2009, Magda was nominated for an AWGIE Award for her short film script, STUFFED – which also won an ATOM Award for Best Tertiary Film and a WA Screen Award for Best Screenplay, and went on to screen at festivals internationally.

Magda is currently in development on several projects for television.
