Magda WozniakScreenwriter

Magda Wozniak is an award-winning screenwriter. Over the past few years, Magda has served as a writer on several successful television series, and recently penned episodes on seasons two and three of RFDS (Seven Network), which won Best Drama Program at the 2024 Logie Awards. She also recently wrote for ABC’s THE STRANGE CHORES and THE MESSENGER, based on the beloved Markus Zusak novel of the same name, WHILE THE MEN ARE AWAY (SBS), and the miniseries BAD BEHAVIOUR (NBCUniversal/Stan), which premiered internationally at the 2023 Berlinale Series as one of only eight global titles selected.

Magda’s additional credits include CRAZY FUN PARK (ABC), for which her episode ‘Remember Me’ won the Australian Writers’ Guild Award (AWGIE) for Best Children’s Television. The series also took home the Logie for Most Outstanding Children’s Program as well as an Asian Academy Creative Award for Best Children’s Program. Magda also wrote on the hit teen series, SURVIVING SUMMER (Netflix), which was also nominated for a Logie Award. Previously, Magda wrote an episode of THE PM’S DAUGHTER for ABC. As one of the core writers for MUSTANGS F.C., Magda earned two AWGIEs for Best Children’s Screenplay. On other household Australian television titles like THE HEIGHTS, HOME AND AWAY and NEIGHBOURS, Magda worked as a writer, storyliner and script editor.

 Earlier in her career, she was nominated for an AWGIE for her short film script, STUFFED – which also won an ATOM Award for Best Tertiary Film and a WA Screen Award for Best Screenplay, subsequently screening at festivals internationally.
