Kirsty FisherScreenwriter | Script Producer

Kirsty Fisher is a celebrated Australian screenwriter and script producer with over two decades of experience in television.

She is the co-creator, co-writer and executive producer of acclaimed black comedy LAID (ABC), developed with Marieke Hardy.

The series earned critical acclaim, an Australian Writers’ Guild (AWGIE) Award, and an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) nomination, and in 2024 was adapted by Nanatchka Khan and Sally Bradford for Peacock and aired in the US and internationally with Kirsty a non-writing executive producer on the remake.

Kirsty’s diverse body of work spans screenwriting, script producing and development roles.

Her credits include THE LOST FLOWERS OF ALICE HART (Made Up Stories/Amazon), which won an AACTA Award for Best Miniseries; DEADLOCH (Guesswork/Amazon); THE MESSENGER (Lingo/ABC); EROTIC STORIES (Lingo/SBS); THE FAMILY LAW (Matchbox Pictures/SBS); MUSTANGS FC (Matchbox Pictures/ABC); as well as NZ comedies CREAMERIE (SBS) and DOUBLE PARKED (Kevin & Co.).

Kirsty is working across several projects with local producers and is in development on two of her own projects.

Across comedy and drama, her work is marked by emotional honesty, subversive humour, and an exploration of rich, messy characters.
