Jacob Stanley is a Sydney-based podcaster, presenter, and voice-over artist.

He currently hosts one of Australia’s most popular podcasts, Just the Gist, with his best friend Rosie Waterland. Together they won the 2020 Australian Podcast Award for Best Entertainment Podcast. Rosie and Jacob have taken the show on the road, with sold out live events at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe.

Jacob studied Voice and Screen Acting at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art, going on to complete a Bachelor of Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney.

From 2008 to 2020 Jacob was immersed in the beauty industry, running the Learning and Development department for MECCA Brands, Australasia’s largest prestige beauty retailer. The role involved planning, hosting and facilitating for many large-scale conferences and seminars. Jacob regularly presented to groups of up to 2500 and appeared as a guest speaker at industry conferences in New York, Paris, London, San Francisco and Miami.
