Hunter Page-Lochard is a writer, director and actor.
Hunter directed for the animation series THALU (Weeianna Street Media/ACTF). Hunter made his most recent short film, CLOSED DOORS (2019), with Bunya Productions and No Coincidence Media. His short film DJALI (2018), which he wrote, directed, and starred in, premiered at Sydney Film Festival.
As well as presenting the long-standing children’s series PLAYSCHOOL (ABC), Hunter has written for the series. He has also written for the returning children’s series, THE WONDER GANG (ABC).
An established actor, he has been seen in the award-winning series THE NEWSREADER (Werner Film Productions), LES NORTON (ABC), as well as in the forensic crime series HARROW (ABC). Hunter played titular character in the ground breaking series CLEVERMAN (ABC), which premiered at Berlin Film Festival, aired on SUNDANCE TV in the US, and earned Hunter a nomination for the Graham Kennedy Most Outstanding Newcomer Logie Award.
Hunter made his feature debut in Rachel Perkins’ award-winning film, BRAN NUE DAE (2009). His other feature credits include SPEAR (2015), which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, THE SAPPHIRES (2012), which screened in Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival, and AROUND THE BLOCK (2014), which also screened at Toronto International Film Festival.
His other television credits include CRITICAL INCIDENT (Matchbox Pictures/Stan), WENTWORTH (Freemantle Media), SOUL MATES (ABC), WATER RATS (Nine Network), EAST WEST 101 (SBS), TIDELANDS (Netflix), and SHADOW TRACKERS (NITV).
