Drew EnglishCinematographer

Drew English is an award-winning cinematographer. Most recently, he shot the hugely successful first season of Netflix’s Heartbreak High, which was nominated for five AACTAs including Best Drama Series, as well as ABC’s The PM’s Daughter, nominated for two AACTAs, and finally the online SBS series Appetite, which premiered at Canneseries in 2023. Drew also worked as cinematographer on the upcoming series Mother & Son (ABC) and anthology Erotic Stories (SBS).

Drew’s skill has been regularly recognised by The Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS). Since 2017, the Society has awarded him two Gold Tripod Awards, as well as five Gold ACS Awards. Further, he was awarded the prestigious Drew Llewelyn ACS Camerimage Scholarship in 2016 which saw him travel to Poland to attend Camerimage Film Festival, an event dedicated to the celebration and recognition of cinematographers.

Currently, Drew is in production on the second season of Heartbreak High.
