Craig Irvin is an award-winning writer and director. In recent years, he has worked extensively in the children’s television space, directing ABC TV’s PLANET LULIN, season one of THE SPOOKY FILES, and writing on both ABCME’s THE PM’S DAUGHTER and the AACTA and Logie award winning series CRAZY FUN PARK. Additionally, Craig wrote and directed on the Netflix Kids series THE NEW LEGENDS OF MONKEY, a reimagining of the Chinese epic Journey To The West.
In further credits, Craig directed two episodes of FIVE BEDROOMS season three for Paramount Plus, and wrote on both TROPPO and ITCH for ABC TV. As the script producer on the third season of the Emmy nominated series WANTED, Craig was instrumental in guiding the evolution of the series story from development to completion.
Finally, no stranger to success, Craig’s work as both writer and director on the Emmy and BAFTA Award winning series NOWHERE BOYS earned him awards from the Australian Directors Guild and the Australian Writers Guild. Following this, he went on to co-write the feature film NOWHERE BOYS: THE BOOK OF SHADOWS, which released theatrically in 2016. Additionally Craig’s debut short film TETHERED, a complex and brutal exploration of masculinity, screened at numerous international film festivals including the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. It proceeded to win Best Director at the Sydney Film Festival where the jury stated it “showed the emergence of a significant new Aussie talent”.
Craig is currently in development on a varied slate of projects.
