Christopher Lee is an award-winning and highly sought-after Australian writer. His credits include ABC miniseries Friday on My Mind, following the rise of Australian band The Easybeats. Christopher also wrote the telemovie Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo for the ABC; Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War for the Nine Network; and the eight-hour mini-series Gallipoli for Endemol and the Nine Network.
Christopher is a four-time AWGIE Award winner: for the documentary Saturday, Saturday; the SKY UK/Seven Network mini-series Do or Die; the pilot episode of The Secret Life of Us; and for an episode of Rush, which he co-created and script produced. He is a recipient of the Centenary Medal for services to Australian television, the Queensland Premier’s Literary Award and the Foxtel Fellowship for excellence in screenwriting.
A former journalist and foreign correspondent, Christopher was creator and writer of the ABC drama series Stringer, head writer and script executive of Police Rescue and co-writer of The Bodysurfer, for which he won an AFI Best Screenplay Award. He was co-creator and head writer of the Network Ten series Big Sky, wrote the SBS teleplay That Man’s Father and co-wrote the ABC telemovie Secret Men’s Business.
