Bob Nguyen, ACSCinematographer

Bob Nguyen ACS is an award winning cinematographer whose work on the feature films THE BLACK HEN and MUOI: THE CURSE RETURNS won him double Gold Awards at ACS Victoria Awards and two Golden Tripods at National Awards at the recent National Awards from Australia Cinematographer’s Society. He won the Gold Award in the coveted Features Cinema category and the Judges’ Choice at the ACS Victoria Tasmania State awards in 2018 for his work on the feature film SONG LANGHe then went on to win the Golden Tripod and the prestigious Milli Award for Cinematographer of the Year at the 2019 National Awards for the Australian Cinematographer’s Society.

Bob has shot several feature films, including the 2020 film ANONYMOUS KILLERS and the 2018 feature THE PERFECT HOST: A SOUTHERN GOTHIC TALEBob’s cinematography work on the 2018 feature, SONG LANG contributed to the film’s 30 awards internationally. In 2016 Bob Nguyen shot SÚT, which won the 2017 Golden Kite Award for Best Cinematography. Bob shot on the feature SHE HAS A NAME in 2016, which received a number of awards, including the Top Indie Film Award for Best Feature and Best Cinematography in 2017.

Bob Nguyen began working as a professional Director of Photography in 2011, when he shot his first feature film in Australia. A year later he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of working with celluloid film. Bob also picked up a Master Degree in Cinematography and received a prize sponsored by Panavision LA for his 35mm feature film. He has shot over 20 short films.
