For 25 years Simon Marnie was the voice of ABC Radio Sydney and ABC NSW Weekends.

Always entertaining, sometimes amusing, frequently informative Simon’s unique companionship stewarded people through high moments and laughs but was also a voice of reassurance through natural disasters.

On his last broadcast people such as The Governor General, The Governor, The Premier of NSW and people from the arts, culture, hospitality, emergency services, multicultural and regional Australia praised Simon’s ability to communicate across all levels of our society.

For television Simon has hosted The Lifestyle Café for The Food Channel, Escape From The City for ABC TV and devised the SBS music program Nomad, appeared on Adam Liaw’s Cook Up and numerous ABC TV news and information segments.

As an MC Simon has worked with The Sydney City Council, The Australian Museum, The Rural Fire Service, Industry bodies facilitating conferences or MC for special nights alongside his various charity commitments to Support Act, The Wesley Mission, Qantas Pathfinders and more.
