Michelle Escobar is a television presenter, journalist, voice artist and host. Michelle has quickly established herself as one of the main female faces of football in Australia through her work as a reporter and presenter for Optus Sport.

Michelle has worked on several major global tournaments and events where she has interviewed the biggest names in world sport including Socceroos legend Mark Schwarzer, Matildas superstar Sam Kerr and 1998 World Cup winner Marcel Desailly.

During the 2018 FIFA World Cup Michelle hosted a light-hearted sponsored Hyundai segment called ‘Off the Pitch’, along with her own show ‘Goal-a-thon’. She was also a part of the travelling team to France as a reporter for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She is currently involved in the coverage of the widely-watched UEFA Euro 2020 and the South American tournament Copa America.

Michelle has worked alongside major brands including Nike in which she was the MC for the launch of the 2019 Women’s World Cup kit, as well as host of the Apple Music/Optus event for Jessica Mauboy.

Prior to joining Optus Sport Michelle worked at Fox Sports and as a radio newsreader. While sport is a great passion of hers, her work also extends to other areas including music and fashion. Michelle holds a double degree, bachelors in Journalism and International Business from Curtin University.
