Sydney-born Rey Vakili is a true style icon, globetrotter and creative entrepreneur. She left home at 18 to study Political Science at the prestigious Yale University and has since spent the past ten years living and working abroad, calling cities like New York, London and San Francisco home.
Her first job out of Yale was at American Vogue as Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour (the fashion dream job that “a million girls would kill for.”) During her time at American Vogue, Rey built her network of high profile industry friends and amassed a large following of dedicated, fashion-obsessed followers who wanted a sneak-peak behind the scenes of her glittering and at times crazy life. After Vogue, Rey moved to London to pursue a career as a digital strategy consultant at rewardStyle, a booming fashion tech startup.
Whether its high-street or high-end, Rey has a knack for making everything look glamourous. Her brand partnerships thus reach a refined and aspirational community. Her content is authentic and true to her bubbly character and it perfectly captures her elegant and sophisticated sense of style.
Since moving back to Australia this year, Rey frequently contributes to Vogue Australia and has collaborated with brands such as Coach, Tory Burch and Steele. She is also an ambassador to the luxury skincare line, La Mer. A classically trained dancer, Rey is passionate about the Ballet; she also loves cooking, reading and frequenting the racetrack.
Rey also holds an MBA from Stanford University.
