In between her television and feature work, Tori is one of Australia’s busiest commercial directors, known for beautiful visual treatments and subtle performance direction.

In 2016, Tori directed her first feature film, Don’t Tell, a true story of sexual abuse courtroom drama starring Rachel Griffiths, Jack Thompson, Aden Young, and Jacquelin McKenzie. The film screened as the opening night film at the 71st Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) in Queensland in October 2016, had its world premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival in April 2017, followed by an Australian theatrical release in May. Don’t Tell was nominated for four AACTA Awards in 2017, including Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor & Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Her television drama directing career in Australia started with the online drama P.S Trixie for Yahoo 7 written by Deb Cox for Hoodlum, followed by the Fox 8 youth series SLiDE (aired on Nickelodeon in the US and won an International Emmy); series 1 and 2 of Time of Our Lives for the ABC (for which she was nominated as Best Director of a Drama Series at the 2014 ADG Awards); Wentworth for the Soho Channel and Fremantle Media; Fremantle’s drama series Wonderland for Network Ten, for which she was Set-up Director; witness protection series, Hiding, from Playmaker for the ABC; the second series of popular Nine drama Doctor Doctor and Playing for Keeps for Network Ten.

Tori was the set-up director for the Channel Seven series Secret Bridesmaid’s Business and Mustangs F.C. for the ABC and Matchbox Pictures which was awarded an International Emmy® nomination for Best Kids Series.

She has recently made in-roads into the US market having directed the Lifetime telefeature You Can’t Take My Daughter starring Kirstie Alley and based on a true story and series. The Rookie and The Rookie: FEDS for eOne and ABC studios.

Tori received two ADG Award nominations for Best Direction of a Feature Film (Don’t Tell) and Best Direction of a Children’s Series (Mustangs F.C.).
