Peter TemplemanScreenwriter | Director | Executive Producer

Peter’s work has been nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA, and an International Emmy.

In the last seven years he’s set up two very different shows: the crime drama Wanted and the comic drama Five Bedrooms. Both are critically acclaimed, have sold extensively to international streamers, and run for at least three seasons. Season Four of Five Bedrooms streams on Paramount Plus in May. Peter is also an Executive Producer of Five Bedrooms.

As one of the country’s most sought after directors, Peter is known for his ability to move between genres, from comedy to thriller and dark drama, often striking a delicate balance between. He is currently a writer on the new Netflix thriller The Survivors, a limited series adaptation of Jane Harper’s latest novel. He is also developing En Masse, a supernatural thriller with Village Roadshow, and adapting Veronica Rossi’s best selling post apocalyptic series of books Under the Never Sky for DAS films in the US.

Peter has directed other primetime television and all six episodes of Rebel Wilson’s cult musical comedy Bogan Pride. His debut feature film Not Suitable for Children sustained an eight-week run in cinemas in 2012. The film received an Australian Writers Guild award, four AACTA nominations and five nominations for the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards. Between 2004 and 2007, Peter’s three short films won thirty-nine festival awards, including an Oscar nomination for The Saviour.
