Merridy Eastman is a NIDA graduate who has worked extensively in television and theatre and can currently be seen in the Seven Network’s popular series, Packed to the Rafters. Merridy is also well known to audiences for her work on the Australia’s iconic children’s series, Play School.
Her previous television credits include Always Greener, Comedy Inc., All Saints, Good Guys Bad Guys, The Man From Snowy River, Halifax f.p., and Home and Away.
Merridy is also an accomplished and acclaimed writer and her debut novel, a humorous memoir of her experience as a brothel receptionist, There’s A Bear In There (And He Wants Swedish) became a national bestseller. She has since published two more instalments to the series, Ridiculous Expectations, which follows her search for true love that began disastrously in London but ended happily in Munich, and the third book in her memoir trilogy, How Now Brown Frau, tells of Merridy’s adjustments to life as a writer, wife and mother living in Germany without a word of German under her belt.
