Hannah HilliardDirector

Hannah Hilliard is a multi-award winning AFTRS graduate who has worked a director in film, television, documentary and commercials.  She has written and directed five short films which have been critically acclaimed internationally. Her Screen Australia funded short film, Franswa Sharl, won the prestigious Crystal Bear for Best Short Film at the 60th Berlin Film Festival and Best Short Film at Melbourne International Film Festival. Her previous short films have also won awards and been sold to major broadcasters worldwide.

As a commercial director Hannah has worked internationally with high profile brands including Intel, Adidas and Dettol. Her two short documentaries shot in Indonesia, Batik Fractal and Jogja Hip Hop Foundation, generated a lot of publicity worldwide. Hannah is particularly known for her natural story telling ability, performance direction and her work with real people.

Hannah is known for her talent for discovering young actors, having cast Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, The Kids Are Alright) at the age of fourteen in her debut short film roles. Hannah has also directed Margot Robbie (I, Tonya), and directed David Wenham as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Flickerfest Star Wars trailer. For a full CV please contact info@rgm.com.au.
