Greig PickhaverCorporate Speaker | Presenter | Comedy

After graduating from Flinders University in South Australia and spending time overseas driving trucks, Greig arrived in Melbourne and began working for the Australian Performing Group and 3RRR-FM.

The radio station encouraged him to use his knowledge of popular music to develop innovative programmes and allowed him time to explore sports broadcasting.

This eventually led to the creation of H.G. Nelson a character he was born to play.

Since 1986 Greig has appeared as H.G. Nelson in various radio and television programmes usually with John Doyle appearing alongside him behind the card table as Rampaging Roy Slaven.

This Sporting Life was a regular weekend fixture on the ABC’s Triple J for 22 years, which was followed by five years on Triple M with The Life and The Sporting Probe.

During this two-decade run John and Greig have presented a number of television shows including This Sporting Life (the TV show), Club Buggery, The Channel Nine Show, Win Roy and H.G.’s Money, The Dream, The Ice Dream, The Dream in Athens, The Monday Dump, The Cream and The Memphis Trousers Half Hour amongst many others.

In recent years Greig has worked on a wide variety of television including Bush Slam (ABC-TV), It’s a Knockout (Channel Ten) and The Russian Revolution (Channel Ten).

Other recent projects include covering sport for The Project (Channel Ten), calling Rugby Union, covering the Winter Olympics from Sochi in February 2014 for the Samsung Stadium app and Who Do You Think You Are? (SBS).

Greig most recently hosted SBS’s Secrets of our Cities, and co-hosted Just Short of a Length with Roy and H.G on Macquarie Sports Radio.
