Born in rural NSW, Aaron has made numerous short films that have screened at more than 100 festivals, and has acquired international sales and awards. His short films include Ten Feet Tall, Feng (Wind), Leap Year and My Name is Martin. His short Ahmad’s Garden was partly funded by Screen Australia and premiered at the 2008 Melbourne International Film Festival.
In 2006, Aaron took part in a filmmaker residency program with Objectifs Centre for Filmmaking and Photography in Singapore, where he developed the script for his debut feature film, Canopy. The film premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, and was selected for numerous festivals including Busan, Shanghai and Rotterdam. Aaron is currently in development on several feature projects, including Beautiful Collision, written by award-winning author James Brown, based on his memoir This River.
In addition to his film work, Aaron is signed to Airbag Productions as a television commercials director.
